Autumn has arrived, and so has another award for Victoria!
Just in time for cozy season, Victoria has been named amongst the coziest cities across the world to visit this fall.
According to the travel insurance company AllClear, Victoria scored the 8th spot on the worldwide list of cozy cities, making it the top Canadian city.
To create this official cozy travel guide, AllClear analyzed major cities worldwide, looking at factors such as the number of cafes, bookstores, theatres, historic sites and museums per square mile.
Additionally, they looked at Instagram posts mentioning ‘cozy’ and the average amount of rainfall.
All of these factors were then added, giving each city an overall ‘cozy’ score out of 100, with Victoria scoring 55.27.
Due to the amount of historic architecture, cozy cafes and bookstores we have in Victoria, the city was highlighted as the perfect spot for an autumn visit.
The number one spot was awarded to Brussels in Belgium with a score of 76.33, next was Paris, France with 69.77, and third was given to Geneva, Switzerland with a score of 63.74.
What do you think of this, Victoria?
