St. Patrick’s Day is officially near, Victoria!

It’s time to celebrate the luck of the Irish with traditional music, Guinness or green beer, and include as many shamrock-related things in your outfit choices!

St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are infectious, and whether you’re Irish or not, we’ve rounded up the best events and places to celebrate around Victoria this Monday.

Don’t forget to wear green! Here are seven ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in and around Victoria:

Irish Times Pub: St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Party

Head into the heart of downtown to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Irish Times Pub!

Live music will be taking place throughout the weekend, and Monday will feature Jeremy Walsh, Araen, and Black Angus will be playing throughout the day, starting at 12 p.m.

Cover charge is $20 on Monday.

Bard & Banker: St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Party

Starting on Saturday, March 15th and running until Monday, March 17th, the Bard & Banker invites everyone over to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

Enjoy live music throughout the weekend, with Monday’s highlights including Q & Charlie, Max Mackrill and more.

Plus, there’ll be specials on select menu items such as Guinness, Jameson and more.

Thrifty Foods St. Patrick’s Day Festival

The countdown is on for our Thrifty Foods St. Patrick’s Day Festival!

Live music from Daniel Lapp, Ivonne Hernandez, Coastline, BC Fiddle Orchestra and the O’Brien School of Irish Dance will all come together for this free family festival.

Plus, there will be market vendors, bouncy castles, crafts, magician and balloons!

Cookeilidh at Six Mile Pub

Get your “Green On” and head down to the Six Mile Pub for the happiest St. Patrick’s celebration on the Island!

They’ll have plenty of great food from their menu, craft beer, Guinness on tap, and of course, toe tappin’, hand clappin’ Irish and Celtic tunes, featuring Cookeilidh!

Shamrock Shadows: Victoria’s Irish Spirits

Join the crew at Discover the Past Ghostly Walks as they lead you on a St. Patrick’s Day spirit walk!

They’ll be discussing Irish beliefs about the paranormal, folkloric creatures, and historic stories that connect Victoria with Ireland.

Tickets are between $13 and $23 and can be booked here.

St. Patrick’s Day Trivia

Sixty Watt Trivia is throwing a St. Patrick’s Day trivia night at Christies Carriage House Pub and you’re invited!

Partake in some classic random general knowledge with a touch of the Irish. Naturally, wear green and have fun.

There will be some extra prizes and giveaways too!
