West Shore RCMP and VicPDK9 teamed up to make the arrest of Aaron Craig in Colwood this morning.
A sharp-eyed citizen spotted 28-year-old Aaron Craig who was subject to an outstanding warrant for breaching his conditions. He was seen around 10:40am today , walking on a trail near Wishart Rd in Colwood, West Shore RCMP were notified immediately.
Police say the observant citizen provided a detailed description to them.
Not long after receiving the call, West Shore RCMP and a VicPD dog handler were able to locate and arrest Craig in a parking lot at the corner of Sooke Rd and Ledsham Rd in Colwood.
VicPD had issued a public notification on January 15, 2016 regarding Aaron Craig who was believed to pose a significant risk of harm to young women and girls between the ages of eleven and seventeen.

The Victoria Police Department is searching for a missing sexual offender 28-year-old Aaron Edward Craig. He is wanted on an outstanding warrant for breaching his conditions. Craig last lived in Victoria, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
The warning is being issued as VicPD believes Craig poses a significant risk of harm to young women and girls between the ages of eleven and seventeen.
Craig has been convicted of the Sexual Interference of a Person under 16 and of Communicating via Computer to Lure a Child under 16. He is currently facing charges and awaiting trial for 15 offences including Obtain/Communicate for Sexual Services under 18 and Telecommunicate to Lure child Under 16.
Craig utilizes social media sites, including Facebook and Nexopia, to lure his victims.
Craig is currently wanted on a BC-wide Arrest Warrant for breaching the conditions of his bail.
