Share

Someone is likely missing their money after it was found by a volunteer working at a thrift shop in Nanaimo.

A volunteer at the Hospice Thrift shop was checking a black purse prior to putting it out for sale. When she opened up one of the compartments she discovered a large amount of money.

According to Nanaimo RCMP, the total amount is under $1,000.00. A piece of stationary, which appeared to have been used for tracking spending, was also located.

The volunteer turned the money and purse over to police.  The money will be held for 90 days.  If the rightful owner is not found, the finder is entitled to claim it.

Anyone coming forward to claim the money and purse will be required to answer some questions to ascertain if you are in fact the rightful owner.

If this purse belongs to you please contact Cst. Samantha Caram at 250-754-2345.
