The middle section of the West Shore Parkway connecting Highway 14 (Sooke Road) to Langford Parkway will open to traffic starting Wednesday morning.
The 1.6-kilometre section of roadway is set to open at 10 a.m. after the morning rush.
The new section of the road will allow traffic to flow “in a controlled manner,” the City of Langford said in statement.
The road can also be used as a bypass in the event the Langford portion of Sooke Road is closed.
The mid-section opening does not include the railway crossing.
This final section, which extends from Langford Parkway to Landing Lane, is scheduled to open in early October.
