For Vancouver Island, the beginning of November will coincide with a major shift towards winter weather. Snow and cold temperatures are predicted this weekend, with a chance of flurries on Saturday night.
According to Environment Canada, Campbell River, Comox, Courtenay, Duncan, Esquimalt, Gonzales Point, the Gulf Islands, Nanaimo, Port Alberni and Qualicum Beach can all expect snow on Saturday, November 4, as well as Monday, November 6.
Drivers Beware
With a low of 1 degree Celsius, the Malahat Highway may also receive some snow, making it even more hazardous than usual. Drivers making the trip up or down Vancouver Island should drive carefully and obey speed limits.
