Time and time again, Canada has shown that it is a country that lives and breathes hockey.
This 2018 Winter Olympic Games is no exception.
After a heartbreaking shootout loss for the Canadian women’s hockey team to USA in the gold medal game, the country came together to show full support, regardless of the result.
It was the first time the USA beat Canada in 20 years. The results hit hard, but the country came together to emotionally cradle the team.
Justin Trudeau & Hayley Wickenheiser
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Olympic hockey legend and former captain Hayley Wickenheiser sent their support through by posting a message on Twitter.
They believe the team can reclaim the gold in 2022.
Hold your heads high @hc_women. @justintrudeau and all of Canada are very proud. Great game. 🇨🇦❤️@TeamCanada pic.twitter.com/82EUcTTX50

Scott Moir
Gold medal figure skater Scott Moir was seen at the game, absolutely fired up about a call he didn’t agree with. The video of Moir standing up in the stands at the game, beer in hand, mouthing the words “are you kidding me!” went viral.
