UPDATE: Power has been restored.
EARLIER: According to BC Hydro, a service interruption has affected 1,228 people since 2:23 p.m. on Saturday, May 26.
Areas affected are south of Merritt St, north of Kings Rd, east of Nanaimo St, and west of Scott St.
All stores at Hillside Mall are currently closed.
The outage is still under investigation. BC Hydro crews are on site as of 3:11 p.m.
