Open today are two awesome museums that are admission-by-donation, some hilarious open mic comedy, and so much more!

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria today, Tuesday, January 8th.

Black Sheep Comedy Open Mic

You can watch some of the best comics in Victoria test out their newest never-before-seen material on the Black Sheep stage at Logan’s Pub!

For those that are brave, 3 minute open mic spots are still available! You can sign-up at 7:30 p.m. before the show begins.

Admission-by-donation at the Royal BC Museum

It’s “Community Days” at the Royal BC Museum, where admission to the museum will be by donation.

The 10th Annual JDF Family Swim Night

For the 10th year in a row, the Juna De Fuca Rec Centre is holding a family swim night for everyone to enjoy!

Tonight is the perfect time to get a little aqua-related exercise, or just have some fun! The recreation centre is footing the bill for all swimmers.

When: 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Where: Juan De Fuca Recreation Centre, 1767 Island Hwy

Lego Exhibition in Sidney

The creative force has arrived at the Sidney Museum with their newest presentation of the ever-popular Lego Exhibition celebrating over 60 years of Lego imagination. Dozens of Star Wars themed Lego models provide a special focus for this exciting exhibit, rounded out by hundreds of other Lego models including Hogwarts Castle and Lego model of the Bugatti Chiron automobile. Admission is always by donation.

When: Daily, 10:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Sticky Quiz

This fun and competative quiz night is on at the Sticky Wicket tonight!

Sixty Watt Trivia is hosting the quiz, which is designed for teams of 8 people or less. The quiz has 4 hard hitting rounds of questions, and is completely free. There’s also prizes for the winning team!

When: 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Where: The Sticky Wicket, 919 Douglas Street
