Whether you like ’em smeared with BBQ sauce, sweet chilli, or honey garlic, there’s no denying that chicken wings are a favourite among virtually all meat-lovers – and Victorians are no different!
The first batch of early-bird tickets for the inaugural Victoria Wing Fest happening in June 2019 has already sold out, which shows just how much we needed this to happen.
The event, happening on June 8th, will feature not only enough flavours to fill your wildest wing wishes, but also have craft drinks and live music on tap.
Pair your chicken with drinks from Salt Spring Wild Cider, Sheringham Distillery, Pemberton Distillery, The Moon Under Water Brewpub, Hoyne Brewing Co., Vancouver Island Brewing, and more!
The wings themselves will be brought to you by a host of local eateries like 1550’s, McRae’s, and 5th Street Bar and Grill.
What’s more, partial proceeds from the Wing Fest will be donated to the Victoria General Hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) through the Victoria Hospitals Foundation to help fund equipment.
While the early bird tickets have already sold out, organizers say regular ticket sales will begin in March, but no exact date has been given yet.
Those who are interested are encouraged to sign up for the Victoria Wing Fest newsletter in order to stay in the loop about when the next sales and contests are happening.
So far, nearly 5,000 people have shown interest in attending the event on Facebook.
