Police searching for missing 36-year-old Nanaimo man (UPDATED)

Update:

Missing Nanaimo man Van Phap Truong was found “safe and sound” on Tuesday, April 16th, according to Nanaimo RCMP.

Earlier:

Nanaimo RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 36-year-old man, Van Phap Truong.

Police say that Truong has been missing for several days and is currently dealing with “significant personal issues” which has his family and friends extremely worried for his well-being.

Nanaimo RCMP have sent out multiple patrols to find Truong, but have been unable to locate him. Police say that his cell phone has been disabled and that he has access to a white SUV, a 2016 infiniti QX60 with BC license plate 674 XSG.

Truong is described as a south Asian man standing 5’ 6” and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes and is believed to have been wearing a black leather jacket the last time he was seen.

The picture of Truong was recently taken.
