One Victoria resident received some tremendous news this week!
When Glen saw an email from PlayNow.com saying he’d won a prize, he expected it to be just another Free Play.
Instead, the email notified him of a $2.5 million win after he matched 6/6 numbers on the April 6 Lotto 6/49 ticket draw.
“I turned white, I couldn’t talk, I couldn’t speak…I finally mumbled the news to my wife and we both started crying, then screaming!” he said.
The Victoria local is now planning to embark on many more family camping trips, a big birthday celebration “somewhere hot”, and a retirement that’ll come at least 10 years earlier than planned.
“I always think of playing the lottery as something for fun. I never expected a big win!” he said.
According to BCLC, B.C. lottery players won over $115 million from Lotto 6/49 tickets in 2018.
