RCMP arrest one, seize significant amount of drugs at West Shore residence

West Shore RCMP have arrested one man and seized a significant amount drugs while executing search warrants at a residence last week.

On Friday, May 10th, officers searched a residential property on Moyes Road near Treanor Ave in Langford.

Officers executed two search warrants and were able to seize the following:

  • over $1200 cash
  • over 43 grams of crack cocaine
  • 175 grams of methamphetamine
  • 5.5 grams of fentanyl
  • drug packaging materials,
  • and a number of fake prescription drugs suspected to be opioids.

They also arrested one man in his 30s on charges of drug Trafficking, Breach of Recognizance as well as Theft Under $5,000.

“The individual arrested is well known to police as a chronic offender and has been arrested previously for drug trafficking related offences,” said Cst. De Grey.

“Getting drugs and weapons off the streets is a priority for the unit.”
