1. Snowbird pilots will be at the BC Aviation Museum!
The Snowbirds are the formation flying team of the Royal Canadian Air Force, who have been thrilling crowds with their exciting flying displays for more than forty years. We are very pleased to announce that the Snowbird pilots will be at the BC Aviation Museum on Tuesday 11th August at 2:30 p.m. If you visit the museum on that day, you will be able to chat with current Snowbird pilots and also some of the veterans of the original Snowbird teams.
Located at 1910 Norseman Road, on the east side of Victoria International Airport.
2. Yoga in the Park
Yoga is a great way to relieve stress, build strength, and increase flexibility for participants of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. Helena is an experienced yoga teacher and will be running a weekly yoga session at Victoria West Park for students of all shapes, sizes and, abilities. No experience necessary. 3. Movie Night: Woman in Gold
The Oak Bay Beach Hotel is thrilled to once again welcome back a long standing tradition of big screen releases to the community through our regularly scheduled movie nights in the David Foster Foundation Theatre.

Sixty years after she fled Vienna during World War II, an elderly Jewish woman, Maria Altmann, starts her journey to retrieve family possessions seized by the Nazis, among them Klimt’s famous painting ‘The Lady in Gold’. Together with her inexperienced but plucky young lawyer Randy Schoenberg, she embarks upon a major battle which takes them all the way to the heart of the Austrian establishment and the U.S. Supreme Court, and forces her to confront difficult truths about the past along the way.

4. Rocky Mountain Express in IMAX
Rocky Mountain Express propels audiences on a steam train journey through the breathtaking vistas of the Canadian Rockies and relates the epic adventure of building the nation’s first transcontinental railway. Combining spectacular IMAX aerial cinematography, breathtaking vistas of the west, archival images and maps, and the potent energy and rhythms of a live steam locomotive to immerse audiences in an era of remarkable ingenuity and struggle and a region of stunning natural beauty. 5. Victoria Flamenco Festival
For the third year in a row, Victoria’s Centennial Square is exploding with the passion and rhythm of flamenco music and dance! The Victoria Flamenco Festival will run Aug. 10 – 16, showcasing local and regional dancers, singers and guitarists collaborating to bring their love of this fiery art form to the stage in the Square. Be inspired at the mid-week por fiesta lunch-hour performances, and invigorated on Saturday and Sunday afternoons with the powerful line-up of local, regional, aspiring and professional flamenco artists.
