On Monday, February 8 get the whole family together and head down to the Royal BC Museum for free admission. While you’re there, become part of the larger museum and archives family by participating in a few special activities.
Modern History Gallery – Opera Performances from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Opera singers from the Pacific Opera Victoria take over the galleries with surprising and entertaining performances in the nooks and crannies of the Royal BC Museum.
Natural History Gallery – photo activity from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Invite an animal into your family! This portrait activity will allow visitors to re-connect and discover new ideas about nature and family. In past years we have featured a mounted wolf, eagle and beaver. What animal will come join your family this year?
First Peoples Gallery – Sketching Activity from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
This sketching station in Totem Hall will encourage you to slow down and look more closely at the artwork, while reflecting on the diverse and dynamic communities that have produced such thoughtful and skilled work.
Admission to the Royal BC Museum (excluding IMAX) is free all day on BC Family Day.
