FRIDAY September 16

Rifflandia

  • What: The most epic 4 day weekend, featuring an incredible line-up of artists. Check out 5 Things You Should Know About Rifflandia to make the most of this music experience. Tickets still available and you have the option to create your own schedule.
  • Where: Royal Athletic Park, plus various locations around town.

Luxton Fall Fair

  • What: Midway rides, games, exhibits, antique farm equipment, museum displays  and more. Midway wristbands $33, rides open at 3:00pm.
  • Where: Luxton Fairgrounds, Sooke Road

SATURDAY September 17

Over 25 Victoria attractions are absolutely free

What: As part of the Victoria Foundation’s 80th anniversary celebration, many attractions that normally charge entry fees or have paid parking will be absolutely free and open to the public on Saturday, September 17th.

Rifflandia

  • What: MusiCounts TD Lounge at The Atrium (800 Yates Street), $15/ tickets. Performance begins at 10:00am, all ticket proceeds go toward MusiCounts. Featuring Jesse Roper, Vince Vaccaro, Band of Rascals, Fox Glove and Fintan O’Brien. Check out today’s schedule for music line-up.
  • Where: Royal Athletic Park, plus various locations around town.

Sausage Fest

  • What: Hosted by the Oak Bay Firefighters, raising funds for charities. Sausages are provided by local butchers: Village Butcher, Whole Beast, Slaters Meat and the Red Barn Market. Fresh buns from Cobs bread and refreshments from Lighthouse Brewing. Live music, dunk tank, bouncy castle and more. Admission by donation, event from 1:00-8:30pm.
  • Where: Willows Beach
    • 90% of the proceeds to support Willows Elementary to build a new playground
    • 5% to Prostate Cancer Canada
    • 5% to the Oak Bay Firefighters Charitable Foundation

Freedom Rent to Own/Cash Advantage Championship Night

  • What: Championships will be crowned on this final night. Richlock Rentals Sprint Cars, Galaxy Motors Stock Cars, Sooke Disposal Mini Stocks, Old Timer’s Racing Association and Dwarf Cars.
  • Where: Western Speedway

Sculpture Splash – An Art Extravaganza by the Sea

  • What: Transforming the walkway into a seaside open-air dimensional gallery in this two-day arts and cultural event. Gallery for viewing from 9:00am-7:00pm.
  • Where:  Macaulay Point Park, Esquimalt

SUNDAY September 18

The Terry Fox Run

  • What: Racing funds for cancer research in honour of Terry Fox ~ a day of celebrating Terry’s legacy to keep the dream alive and find a cure for cancer.
  • Where: Mile 0
    • Registration 9:00am

    • Hair “Do” 10:15-am-12:00pm

The Victoria Bridal Exhibition

  • What: Plan your perfect wedding all in one location. Various vendors, take-home bags, prizes, fashion show and more. Event from 10:00am-4:00pm. Tickets: $13/advance, $15/at the door
