Vancouver Island Corn Maze at Pendray Farms

  • What: Vancouver Island’s biggest corn maze with 14 acres of corn and 10 acres of maze trails – Pendray Farms is the place to be! The average time to get through the maze is 2 hours, although some have made it in 45 minutes.  Grab a bag of their famous kettle corn before heading in. Good luck!
  • Where: Pendray Farms – 9537 West Saanich Road
  • When: The maze is open Thursday – Sunday from 1pm – 9pm (FINAL WEEKEND)
  • Tickets:  Online or in person, Adults 13+ $10, Kids 5-12 $5, Kids under 5 are free.


Ghost Walk Tours 

  • What: Go on a tour of Chinatown, the Inner Harbour, Market Scare and Bastion Square and hear the tales of gruesome murders and ghostly happenings.
  • Where: Start from the main archway gate of Market Square, 560 Johnson St.
  • When: October 14th-31st , every night at 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm, 9:30pm
  • Tickets:  Adults $15, Children $8.

Pumpkin Art on Oak Bay Avenue

  • What: Pumpkin Art on the Avenue features hundreds of pumpkin carvings set up in themes featuring Canadian Idols, cartoon characters, prime ministers, presidents, TV shows, the royal family, sixties icons, CBC history and more!
  • Where: Behind the Oak Bay Municipal Hall, 2167 Oak Bay Avenue.
  • When: October 27th to 30th 5pm – 9pm and October 31st 5pm – 10pm.
  • Tickets: Admission by donation to support Oak Bay Kiwanis and their work with the Mitchell House.

Derek Gripper

  • What: South African guitarist Derek Gripper discovered a delicate and breathtaking new art-form in his transcriptions of the Malian kora, a 21-string harp, breathing new life into ancient African musical heritage. Inspired by the music of West African musicians such as Toumani Diabaté, Ballaké Sissoko and Ali Farka Touré, Gripper painstakingly transcribed their compositions, resulting in a magical collection of African guitar arrangements.
  • Where: Hermann’s Jazz Club – 753 View Street
  • When: Thursday, October 27, from 8 to 10 p.m
  • Tickets: At the Door: $25  Member: $22 General: $22

Monsters Haunted House presents “Fear on the Pier”

  • What: Fear on the Pier is all anyone’s been talking about.  A haunted house exploding with monsters and fright.  Regular priced admission is $13.  Tickets can be purchased -cash only – onsite or at Incharacter Costumes locations in the Hillside and the Westshore Centers.
  • Where: Pier A – 203 Dallas Road (Ogden Point)
  • When: Wednesday, October 26 to October 31st, 6:30pm – 11pm.
    Fridays, Saturdays and Halloween they’re open 6pm – 11:30pm.
  • Tickets: Regular priced admission is $13.  Tickets can be purchased -cash only – onsite or at Incharacter Costumes locations in the Hillside and the Westshore Centers.
