Whether or not you’re a veteran artist or an aspiring designer, you are invited to get inspired and dream up a fun new design for the V2V Empress!
V2V Vacations is calling on artists to share their creative designs for a chance to have their artwork featured on the ship’s exterior, return Business Class flights to Brisbane, and trips on the newly-named V2V Empress.
“The V2V Vacations team is excited to work with the region’s artistic community and is looking for designs that celebrate the rich beauty of Vancouver Island’s waters; the respected culture and history of the region’s First Nations; and/or inspiring stories of Victoria or Vancouver,” says Nick Cheong, vice president of operations for V2V Vacations.
The contest launched on Sept. 30, and ends on Oct. 31. All entries must be submitted via e-mail to hello@v2vvacations.com. More than one entry is permissible as long as each entry is unique. The final selection will take place on Nov. 14.
“Vancouver Island is blessed with such exceptional beauty and we are excited to celebrate these natural gifts with innovative works of art,” said Cheong. “The island has many stories to tell and art is the best means of narration, especially against the ever-changing colours of the Salish Sea.”
Prizes include:
- 1st Place: Two return business class flights from Vancouver to Brisbane on Air Canada
- 2nd Place: Four Royal Class roundtrip tickets on the V2V Empress
- 3rd Place: Four First Class roundtrip tickets on the V2V Empress
- 4th Place: Four Premium Economy roundtrip tickets on the V2V Empress
- 5th Place: Four economy roundtrip tickets on the V2V Empress
