Pop-up Park! and Open House

  • What: City of Victoria are creating a 25-year plan for parks with the community. To celebrate, they’re transforming Centennial Square into a POP-UP PARK with music, food and picnic games! Come by the Open House to learn more about the plan and share your feedback inside the McPherson Playhouse, and bring the whole family to play in Centennial Square.

7th Annual Canada’s National Gingerbread Showcase

  • What: More than just a house, these are “sweet” masterpieces! This event brings together professionals and amateur chefs from across Canada, dazzling visitors with their skills. Vote for your favourite and make a donation to Habitat for Humanity Victoria. This year’s theme is “Around the World” and bakers are encouraged to let their creativity lead the way, whether it is finding inspiration in travel, traditions and cultures, or adventures with friends. Victoria Buzz are proud to be one of this year’s official judges.
  • When: Saturday November 19, 2016 and runs until Monday January 2, 2017. Viewing from 9:00AM to 9:00PM daily.

Savory Craft and Winter Fair

  • What: Christmas shopping with over 20 local vendors. Door prizes to be won. Food concession. Savory PAC generously donated a table to Emma Locke of Two Hearts. One Wish. to sell her creations in support of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Victorian Christmas Craft Fair 

  • What: Hand-made Christmas decorations that will have you decking the halls, contemporary pieces for your home year round, local, gourmet baking and treats, and so much more! The Victorian Christmas will get your jingle bells ringing just in time for the Holiday Season.
  • When: Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM and Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 10:00AM-4:00PM

Christmas Market at Mt Saint Mary

  • What: A Christmas Market of unique gifts. Local vendors offer woodworking, jewelry, knitting, jams, baking and more. There is also a silent auction, 50/50 draws, & attic treasures sale! The Canadian College of Performing Arts will perform a Capella 11AM-2PM. Snacks & hot turkey lunch available. Stroller & wheelchair accessible.

Christmas Bazaar, Silent Auction and Luncheon

  • What: It’s time for the annual Christmas Bazaar, Luncheon and Silent Auction at Christ Church Cathedral School. Baking, toys, books, decorations and much much more, including a fabulous lunch. Come early if you want to get something at the bake table – it sells out quickly! Lots of great items to bid on at the silent auction.

Uptown Tree Light Up and Parade

  • What: Don’t miss out on the Annual Lighting of the 54ft. Christmas Tree and the Christmas Parade! The parade will loop the Boulevard twice, and don’t worry you’ll have enough time to make it back to Town Plaza for Santa to light the tree. Stick around after the light up to hear some festive tunes.

Ocean Rain Spectacular 

  • What: This colourful, annual performance displays the most enticing Chinese artistic cultural elements. Ocean Rain Arts Academy will generously donated funds raised to support the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

DANCE: Decades of Rock Show

  • What: The Decades of Rock Show with Younger Than Yesterday, Free Ride and Rock of Ages playing the Beatles and 60’s, 70’s and 80’s dance music. Fundraiser for Lions Local Charity and Community Projects.

Oaklands Gift of Good Food Fundraiser

  • What: Oaklands, along with nine other Community Centre and Associations across Victoria are raising funds to provide fresh and healthy produce for families in need. All door sales go towards the Good Food Box Victoria program. A night featuring Wise Child, The Lunas and Colourful Language.

Little Gems Holiday Art and Craft Fair

25th Annual Festival of Trees

  • What: For the past 24 years the Festival of Trees has created a lush forest of beautifully decorated trees to raise much-needed funds for BC Children’s Hospital. The festival knits together the incredibly generous community of Victoria in what has become, over the last two decades, a cherished holiday tradition and the unofficial kick-off to the holiday season in the city. Bears on the Move- A Teddy Bear Christmas

  • What: Hundreds of Teddy Bears will be invading Sidney Museum for the Christmas season. They will be getting up to their usual antics, but this year they will be travelling! Up, Up and Away in a hot air balloon, or riding in an airplane or even taking the train. A special feature this year is the beautiful and gentle art of Erin Vanessa that will compliment the displays with painted scenes of teddy bears on their travels. This is an annual ‘must’ for all the family.

Christmas Vintage, Retro and Collectible Show/Sale

Kelowna Rockets vs. Victoria Royals

  • What: The Royals have teamed up with Island Savings to help raise funds for the Mustard Seed – during the game cash donations will be accepted. The Victoria Royals players presented a $3,500 cheque to the food bank this week to kick off their fundraising campaign.

Wonder Sunday: Massive Mammoths
