Man goes missing on bike trip from Smithers to Saanich

Sean David Kuntz was found deceased. On Saturday, Jul 1st, 2017 Lillooet RCMP, and, the local Search and Rescue located Mr. Kuntz in the Fraser River.

The family of Mr. Kuntz have been notified. The police do not suspect foul play and BC Coroners Service has conduct of the investigation. The RCMP will not be releasing any further details on this matter.

RCMP are looking for 45-year-old Sean David Kuntz who was reported missing by his mother.

Kuntz was cycling from Smithers to Saanich and was last heard from on June 13th when he texted his mother to tell her he was between Quesnel and Williams Lake.

His mother contacted Sidney/North Saanich RCMP on Sunday, they then immediately notified Smithers RCMP.

It is believed that Kuntz has been sleeping on the side of the highway.

Kuntz is decribed as five feet 11 inches tall, well-built with dark eyes and dark hair. He is missing half of his thumb.

Police, family and friends are very concerned for Kuntz’s wellbeing and ask that if you see him to please call the RCMP.
