Victoria commuters using the Johnson Street Bridge for two weeks starting Monday should be prepared for delays or take alternate routes if possible.
The city says drivers and cyclists should expect congestion between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., between Wharf Street and the new bridge until Aug. 12. as crew prepare the area in advance of final paving.

Johnson Street Bridge Closed to Vehicles August 13 For Final Paving
On Sunday, August 13 the Johnson Street Bridge and road approaches between Harbour Road and Wharf Street will be closed from about 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. while paving takes place between Wharf Street and the new bridge.
Advance warning signs will be posted on streets approaching the work area to advise motorists of traffic changes.
People walking and riding bikes should also look for re-routing signage, and follow directions from flaggers to make their way around the work zone.
