Saanich firefighters returning from Williams Lake were greeted with a warm welcome on Tuesday during their 3 p.m. ferry ride on July 25th.

The physically tired crew from Saanich were on their way back to the island from a week-long deployment fighting the wildfires in the interior.

The firefighters returned from the passenger decks to find their truck covered in thank you notes.
