Have you had your bike stolen recently, or know someone who did?
The Oak Bay Police Department sure does…and they want to make sure that all recovered bikes get returned to their rightful owners.
As of October 20th, the Oak Bay PD has created its first ever Bike Registry – a move which will help them connect stolen bicycles with their original owners.

All Oak Bay residents are therefore encouraged to register their bikes with their police department’s bike registry, which will also be accessible police departments in other areas.
So instead of having to donate or auction off all the recovered bicycles in their possession, Oak Bay PD can start identifying and returning the vehicles to their riders.
You can download a bike registry form from the Oak Bay PD website, or pick one up from the detachment at 1703 Monterey Ave, and then drop it off or mail it to the same location.
