Gregor was acquired in a trade from the Moose Jaw Warriors on December 11th, and has been a great fit alongside captain Matthew Phillips.
After being selected in the 4th round, 111th overall in 2016 by the Sharks, Gregor has clearly stood out as one of Victoria’s most complete players, offering a sound two-way game while showing great poise on the puck. Whether it’s successfully weaving through the neutral zone or supporting a forecheck in the offensive zone, Gregor has been a key addition.
The 6’0″ center was originally drafted by the Royals, before a trade in 2014 saw him become a Moose Jaw Warrior. With the injuries to Tyler Soy and Tanner Kaspick, Gregor was an integral part of the Royals first round series against the Vancouver Giants, scoring 4 goals and 10 points while playing brilliant hockey alongside Phillips and Dante Hannoun.
Of course, there’s also this beautiful overtime snipe that kept the Royals’ playoff dreams alive in game 6.
Congratulations to Noah!
