The 3900 block of Carey Road was closed for several hours Saturday between Glanford Ave and McKenzie following a serious incident.
One man was sent to hospital with serious injuries after reportedly being attacked by several individuals shortly after 3 p.m.
There are unconfirmed reports the person was attacked by four people with hammers.
Witnesses tell Victoria Buzz emergency crews were performing CPR on the individual before being transported to hospital.
It is unclear whether a suspect(s) have been arrested.
