Shawnigan Lake RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in finding 77-year-old Barbara Munroe.

Munroe was last seen by her husband at their shared residence in Cobble Hill around 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18th.

She told him that she was headed to the pool in their retirement community, but friends say she never arrived. Munroe was driving a brown 2005 Hyundai Accent with BC license plate AVC517.

Her credit card was used at a Petro Canada in the Duncan area but police do not know where she may have gone afterward.

Munroe stands 5’6″ tall, has a slim build, with short white/grey hair, and was last seen wearing black pants, a black jacket, and possibly a blue shirt.

She has a bad right hip, walks with a limp, and suffers from a medical condition. Officers believe it is possible that she is lost and confused.

Anyone who sees Munroe or her vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately and contact their local police department.
