Unique tricycle stolen from Nanaimo man with mobility issues

Nanaimo RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating a tricycle stolen from a man who has severe mobility issues and needs it to get around.

The bike was taken from outside his home on Bowen Road on Tuesday, November 6th.

Although no serial number is available, the bike is described as purple with a wire basket attached to the front and back.

It also has “Satellite Tracking Skulls” decals on the frame and back of the seat.

According to a press release from the RCMP, the owner of the bike maintains a positive outlook on life despite having gone through several personal hardships in recent years.

“Many of our officers have had the opportunity to meet him and are touched by his outlook and ability to face head on his daily struggles. He’s just a good guy who needs a break,” says Cst. Gary O’Brien.
