This year’s Sidney Sparkle Parade will be live streamed for the first time ever

Share

Missed last weekend’s Island Farm’s Santa’s Light Parade?

No worries, you’ve got another chance to get Christmassy this weekend in Sidney!

The Sidney Sparkle Parade is this Sunday December 2nd at 5 p.m., and this annual treat is one every Saanich Peninsula dweller and visitor looks forward to!

If you can’t make it out there, don’t worry, Victoria Buzz will be live streaming the event on Facebook – marking the first time this Christmas tradition has been broadcasted live.

The livestream will utilize multiple high definition cameras to bring you a crystal clear view of downtown Sidney as it buzzes with excitement.

The annual parade, which is hosted by the Peninsula Celebrations Society, begins at Resthaven Drive, runs through the centre of town along Beacon Avenue and ends at Ocean Avenue.

Floats and Boats!

The fun doesn’t end after the Sidney Sparkles parade!

Once the parade completes its route, people are encouraged to move to Beacon and Bevan wharves and the Sidney waterfront around Beacon Park.

From there, you will be able to witness the Lighted Boat Parade, which starts at least 15 minutes after the parade.

A Lighted Sail Past will also begin at dusk at Port Sidney.
