Here are 5 things to do around town to tide you over until then:

Cookies and Cocoa in support of Children’s Health Foundation

Get in the holiday spirit this season at Hotel Grand Pacific! Each day during the holiday season, festive cookies and hot chocolate will be available by donation in the Pacific Dining Room and Lounge. In the hotel lobby, enter the raffle for a chance to win WestJet tickets or a two-night stay package at Hotel Grand Pacific. There’s festive fun for the kids in the hotel lobby too. Find colouring sheets for the holiday colouring contest for kids, which runs December 1 to 25.

  • When: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Where: Hotel Grand Pacific, 463 Belleville St

MLA Carole James Holiday Open House

Victoria-Beacon Hill MLA Carole James invites you to join her and her team at the Community Office for their annual holiday open house. There will be light refreshments, coffee, tea, and seasonal punch to celebrate the end of the year. They will also be accepting personal care and non-perishable food donations for Anawim House.

  • When:  3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Where: 1084 Fort St

Holiday Night Market

Allen Stone – Capital Ballroom

Soul/ R&B artist Allen Stone proves himself deeply devoted to making uncompromisingly soulful music that transcends all pop convention. His vocals and melodic style show the clear influence of classic soul and R&B of the 1960s and ’70s, while his lyrics reveal an idealism and passion that recall the folk-inspired singer/songwriters of the same era.

  • When: 7 p.m. – 11:55 p.m.
  • Where: Capital Ballroom, 858 Yates St
