Victoria Police are searching for a man who threw a lit cigarette into an open car window during a road rage incident earlier this week.
On Monday, June 3rd at around 4 p.m. at Broughton and Blanshard Streets, an unsuspecting driver honked at the vehicle in front of them after observing them tailgating another car and then running a red light.

To their surprise, the reckless driver then proceeded to throw a lit cigarette into the victim’s open window, causing minor, non-life threatening burns. Luckily a young child in the victim’s vehicle was uninjured.
Officers are now looking to speak to anyone who witnessed a black Nissan truck ,with a yellow ‘Pro-4’ sign on the driver side, being driven in a reckless manner in the area of Broughton and Blanshard Streets around 4:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
The suspect himself is a Caucasian man in his 50s and wears glasses.
