From classic outdoor summer movies to beginner drop-in rollerblading, there’s something for everyone to do today!

Summer Outdoor Movie Series

Head on over to Bullen Park for another edition of Esquimalt’s Summer Outdoor Movie Series!

Tonight’s movie in the park is How to Train Your Dragon 3, a popular animated movie that spawned more than its fair share of memes.

Oaklands Sunset Market

Head down to the Oaklands Community Centre for its weekly evening market full of local farmers, artisans, jewelers, food trucks, live music, and a beer garden!

Today’s market will feature a Kids Tent hosted by Kaleidoscope Theatre, and a Caricature artist presented by Telus.

Drop-In Intro to Roller Skating

Have you ever wanted to try roller skating but didn’t know where to start? Now’s your chance to strap on 8 wheels and go for an educational rip!

Join Roller Skate Victoria for a drop-in intro to roller skating class, where they’ll teach you how to be safe and confident on the skates. The class size is limited to just 10 people, so make sure to register online here!

Birds of Prey

Head down to the Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary for a fun an interactive educational event that focuses on birds of prey.

Learn about the birds’ incredible eyesight, speed, and stealth abilities while seeing feathers, playing games, making crafts, and more. The drop in event is free, but a $5 donation to the nature sanctuary is encouraged.

StoryWalk Wednesdays

Take a stroll through the warm summer evening air at Witty’s Lagoon and take in the story of one of your favourite children’s books read live at the park.

Today’s story will be Owl Babies by Martin Waddell and Patrick Benson. The reading is FREE event and fun for all ages.
