Oak Bay Police are searching for two male suspects after a group of women were nearly robbed in Carnarvon Park last week.

On Friday, at approximately 1 a.m., police were called to the park for reports of an attempted robbery.

The victims, three women, said they were walking through the park when they were approached by two men who had their lower faces covered and were wearing dark-coloured hoodies.

One of the men then demanded the womens’ wallets and money. The three women attempted to walk away before one of the men tried to stop them.

Police say that the women managed to walk past both men though a red laser pointer was aimed at them while one man was believed to be holding an “unknown object”.

The women then left the park, and police say that “the females were not injured in any way.”

After the incident was reported, officers swarmed the area and performed an extensive search, though no suspects were located.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oak Bay Police Department at 250-592-2424.
