While one of the drivers was not physically injured, the driver in the second vehicle was found unconscious and in potentially life-threatening condition.

He was treated by an off-duty physician who was passing by, before paramedics arrived and took over the treatment.

Attending medics noted signs of opioid overdose and administered naloxone which helped the man regain consciousness before he was transported to the hospital.

The area was closed to traffic for several hours while authorities gathered evidence in their investigation of the collision.
