Downtown Victoria staple John’s Place restaurant is continuing their annual tradition of offering free meals to military personnel.

Between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday November 12th, the eatery will be serving free meals to veterans and active military personnel in honour of their service.

The date also marks the 35th anniversary for John’s Place, making this gesture doubly special for the restaurant.

Throughout the day, musician John Darroch Baillie will be regaling patrons by playing the bagpipes.

John’s Place has been a Victoria favourite for more than 30 years, and its delicious fare and quirky atmosphere has been featured by Food Network Canada.

The eatery is open 364 days a year and features a hearty breakfast and lunch menu including their delectable Belgian waffles and eggs benedict.
