Whether you’re nursing a hangover or ready for some political discussion, there’s something for everyone here!

Pancakes and Pyjamas

Cure your New Year’s Eve hangover with pancakes and a little hair of the dog all while wearing your pyjamas. Your hangover will thank you!

With great deals on buffets, pancakes, shafts, Caesars, or Irish coffees, the Irish Times have all the true and tested hangover cures available. There are even prizes available, too, for those with the best jammies!

With music and brunch served until 2:00 p.m., there’s no need to wake up early to enjoy this event!

  • Where: The Irish Times, 1200 Government Street

New Year’s Day Levée

Start your new year with some political involvement and join Mayor Lisa Helps for a New Year’s Day Levée. The theme of the meeting is climate action, and those there will be discussing a New Year’s Resolution for the planet.

Enjoy complimentary music and food, too, to help keep you going through the important discussion.

A period instrument ensemble led by Marc Destrubé (violin) with Elyssa Lefurgey-Smith (violin), Natalie Mackie (viola da gamba) and Michael Jarvis (keyboard), will be joined by the talented voices of Rachel Allen, Cassidy Stahr, Adam Dyjach and Kyron Basu, all current or previous Christ Church Cathedral Choral Scholars.

  • When: January 1st, 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Where: Christ Church Cathedral, 930 Burdett Avenue

Unplugged Date Night

Head to Darcy’s Westshore every Wednesday evening for Unplugged Wednesday, where the bar features new unplugged artists each week without cover charge.

The kitchen is open until 11:00 p.m., and the music will be rocking and rolling until then!

  • When: January 1st, 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Where: Darcy’s Westshore, 737 Goldstream Avenue
