Victoria Police have taken one woman into custody during a dramatic arrest on Tuesday morning.
At around 4:30 a.m. on December 17th, police attended reports of a break-in in the 1500-block of Amelia Street near Pandora Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found that someone had barricaded themselves inside the attic of the building that was otherwise unoccupied.
Emergency Response Teams were called to the site “out of an abundance of caution”, and crisis negotiators were brought in.
Officers were seen on the roof of the building as they worked to extract the female suspect.
She was taken into custody at around 9:30 a.m.
Police say there were no injuries and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
