5 things to do in and around Victoria today, Monday February 24th

We’ve somehow made it to the very last Monday of the month – see ya later February, and hello, March! – and there’s an abundance of fun-filled things to do today.

With everything from movie nights to comedy shows, kick this week off the best way possible with these 5 events:

Fernwood Comedy Night

An evening of live comedy in beautiful downtown Fernwood!

Featuring the talents of Dylan Williams, Rusti Richt, Matt Basky, Ian Ferguson, Julya Van Der Sloot, Nash Park,Jessica Lottie DeAngelis, and Kevin Matviw. Admission by donation ($10 suggested donation).

Movie Monday presents Burn Your Maps

in Burn Your Maps, an American family must navigate the challenges that arise when their youngest, 8-year old Wes, becomes convinced he is a Mongolian goat herder born in the wrong place.

Movie Monday is ALWAYS free to attend and donations are accepted at the door, along with affordable concession snacks available for purchase all to benefit the Movie Monday Society. See you at the movies!

Baby Wearing Workshop

Learn to wear your baby with confidence.

In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to safely wear your baby from birth-toddlerhood. They will check out how many different styles and brands of carriers work, learn how and when to wear your baby in different positions, and you’ll also have the opportunity to try on carriers to see what works best for your family!

Babies are welcome!

Celluloid Slime #24 : Monday Mystery Movie Night at Logans Pub

This movie night brings you the worst of the best in trash cinema.

CELLULOID SLIME is a bi-weekly movie night where the picks are a mystery, but the entertainment level is high. Ranging from cult classics to VHS oddities to campy nightmares, and everything in between.

Join the TAPE HEADS community and take a trip into the strange and bizarre. No cover charge necessary, come have a beer and yell at the screen with your pals.

Beginner Ballroom Lessons

Come learn the basics of waltz and tango in this beginner series!
