Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and love is already in the air in Victoria!

From Valentine’s themed swing dancing, to a hilarious quiz night and more, there’s lots to see and enjoy this Tuesday – and the rain’s even supposed to stay away!

The Salt Spring Island National Art Prize Winners Showcase

The winner of the 2019 SSNAP is Winnipeg-based Luther Konadu, whose approach to portraiture merges the solitary studio practice with intimate snapshots of his community, often challenging the limits of the photographic device by offering numerous picture grounds in a single composition

Café Scientifique: A chemist’s journey of discovery

Join us to hear Dr. Neil Burford, Professor and Chair of the Department of Chemistry, discuss: A chemist’s journey of discovery towards new compounds and materials. The talk will be a discussion of the applications of chemical synthesis: the how, when, and why of creating new compounds.

Ben Price Magic

Speakeasy: My Funny Valentine

Reminisce 1928 with a night of live swing jazz, classic cocktails, and swing dancing. They have The Capital City Syncopators to swing the night away with Side Car Trio playing at the band break.
