Saanich Police attempting to identify pedestrian struck by motor vehicle incident

Saanich Police are seeking public the public’s help in identifying a woman who suffered serious injuries from a vehicle incident Wednesday morning.

The intersection of Cedar Hill Cross Road and Blenkinsop Road in the 3900-block of Cedar Hill Cross Road was closed to all traffic as authorities rushed to the scene of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a female victim, was rushed to hospital in serious condition. In a release this afternoon, Saanich Police say they have not been able to identify her so far and require public assistance.

She is described as a slim woman of Asian descent, between 65 and 80 years old, 5’1″ tall. At the time of the incident, the woman was wearing a green Gap windbreaker, black toque, white mittens, off white khaki pants and brown Timberland hiking boots.

She was also carrying a Sony Walkman cassette player and earphones.

“We are asking members of the public to review the description provided and determine
if this maybe somebody in your life,” stated D/Sgt. Kowalewich.
