Victoria Police are searching for witnesses and information in a sexual assault that took place aboard a BC Transit bus last month.
A 17-year-old girl told police she was followed onboard bus 28 at Douglas and Fort Streets by an unknown man just after 1:05 p.m. on Sunday, November 29.
Once they were on the bus, the man exposed himself to the girl while “committing an indecent act,” according to a police statement on the incident.
He then sexually assaulted the girl before she was able to get off the bus at Shelbourne Street and Cedar Hill Cross Road.
Police say the suspect also left the bus at that stop and then left the area.
He is described as a slim, 20 to 30 year old Black man, standing 5’8″ tall. At the time of the incident, he was wearing ivory coloured pants.
