RCMP hoping to return wheelchair found in Duncan to rightful owner

Share

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are hoping to reunite an abandoned electric wheelchair with its rightful owner.

The wheelchair was found in the 2500 block of Alexander Street in Duncan on December 5th.

RCMP were called in the hopes of returning the wheelchair to the person who likely needs it.

Police say they will need proof of ownership prior to releasing the chair to anyone inquiring about it.

The wheelchair is “well-used” but RCMP say if someone is missing it and can’t get around it’s important to return it.

No one has yet come forward to claim it.

If you are missing a wheelchair or know of someone who may be, please contact the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522 and refer to file number 2020-18904.
