Rumours of Ma Millers Pub closing for good this Sunday have been confirmed.
The community pub confirmed the news on their Facebook page late Thursday night.
“I do not own the building and I do not own that dream. I am so sad to say goodbye to what has been an exceptional journey but excited and optimistic for what lies ahead,” said owner Jessica Brown on Facebook.
“We will all miss being here and being part of this neighbourhood and community. I will update everyone soon but for now to answer the rumours – it is true. Sunday is our last day,” the Facebook post continued.
The Goldstream Hotel (Inn) and now Ma Miller’s Pub has been a namesake in Langford since 1864.
Although the building has been lost to fire two times since its original build, the 1930’s building still stands proud nestled in the Goldstream Meadows.
While nothing has been confirmed, there has been plenty of speculation online as to what is happening to the property, including being sold and developed into low income housing.
