Victoria Police are investigating an aggravated assault that they say left a man with “life-altering” injuries on Friday.
The incident took place between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on January 15th in Bastion Square.
Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the assault.
According to police, the victim was walking through Bastion Square when he approached a group of approximately 10 youth.
An unknown female youth with blonde hair threw a cup of water on the man, and a second individual struck him from behind.
Police described the man’s injuries as “life-altering”. He was transported to the hospital by BC Emergency Health Services following the incident.
