The victim was not injured.

Five days later, on March 20th, RCMP reported a similar assault when a victim was walking in an alley behind a Canada Post office and the suspect struck him with a small hammer.

Both victims reported to avoid significant injury.

The 17-year-old suspect was identified and arrested with help from surveillance footage provided by residents and businesses, according to Comox Valley RCMP.

The suspect was arrested on March 23rd and is currently in custody awaiting a court appearance.
