5-foot statue stolen from the Royal Oak Burial Park over the Easter long weekend

Saanich Police are investigating the theft of a statue from the Royal Oak Burial Park over the Easter long weekend.

The 5-foot bronze statue that marked the entrance to the mausoleum at Royal Oak Burial Park was last seen on Thursday, April 1st.

“Investigators are looking for any tips that could help in the recovery of a bronze statue stolen over the Easter long weekend,” Saanich Police said in a media release.

Police believe the suspects were able to dislodge the statue from the base by breaking or cutting the fasteners.

Anyone with information on the theft of the statue or its whereabouts is being asked to contact the Saanich Police non-emergency line at 250-475-4321.
