Vaccinations

65.8% of adults 18+ have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccination.

To date, 3,032,811 (+52,860) doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in BC; 156,130 (+/-) of which are second doses.

BC health officials have confirmed that those who have gotten a first dose of Moderna, may receive a Pfizer as their second dose.

Due to the lack of shipments of Moderna it won’t always be possible to receive the same second dose.

BC health officials also announced that they will be decreasing the intervals between first doses and second doses from 13-16 weeks to 8 weeks for clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) people and the age-based vaccination program.

Meaning, elders and CEV’s who have received a first dose will be able to book those second doses soon via text or email.

That process will begin today.
