The organizer of a rave at an abandoned power plant in Jordan River was slapped with a $2,300 fine.
In a tweet, Sooke RCMP said there were approximately 75 people in attendance – it’s unclear if any attendees of the rave were handed out additional tickets for COVID-19 violations.
Built in the early 1900s to service a growing community, the Jordan River Power Station, located just off Highway 14, is now a long-forgotten facility.
No other details were released on the party and how it was discovered.
