West Shore RCMP are currently dealing with a suspicious package at Victoria General Hospital.
West Shore RCMP says the area is secure and operations at the hospital have not been suspended.
Police are asking people to use the north entrance when arriving at the hospital — the doors next to the emergency department.
“The scene is presently secure, an explosives trained PSD is on site and we are awaiting the arrival of the Explosives Disposal Unit from Vancouver,” said West Shore RCMP in a media release.
No other details were provided.
