(Province of BC)

If you’re travelling on the Pat Bay Highway, specifically in the Keating Cross Road area within the next week, you can expect some delays.

The province has announced that field crews will be on site doing geotechnical investigations during this time.

According to a release from the Ministry of Transportation, there will be lane closures on the Pat Bay Highway starting in the evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Southbound lane closures will be from June 8th to June 10th during these times, while Northbound lane closures will be from June 10th to June 15th.

The work will involve drilling holes and analyzing soil samples to better understand conditions in the area, all in preparation for the Highway 17/Keating Cross Road Flyover Project.

Work will take place on the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure right of way on the Pat Bay Highway between Tanner Road and Island View Road.

Drivers are asked to use caution in these areas while work is being completed, and to check DriveBC for updated conditions.
