Nanaimo RCMP are asking for additional witnesses and dashcam footage of a fatal collision that claimed the life of a 74-year-old woman.

The crash occurred on Thursday, May 20th just before 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Cranberry avenue and the Trans Canada Highway.

RCMP are looking to obtain any pre-collision driving evidence involving the suspect’s vehicle — a white 2013 Dodge Ram pickup — as well as dashcam footage of the incident.

“Investigators are confident, given the time of the crash and the number of vehicles that were in the vicinity, that there are additional witnesses and
dashcam video available,” said Cst. Gary O’Brien.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking that anyone with dashcam, cellphone, or eye witness evidence to contact them at (250)-754-2345.

Charges have not been laid to date, and the investigation is continuing.
